We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
Legal basis
Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data based on your consent, which you provide by submitting the waitlist form. Where applicable, we also rely on legitimate uses permitted under Section 7 of the DPDP Act (e.g., responding to a request you've made, fulfilling a contract).
For users in the EU/UK, our legal bases under GDPR are: (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract, (c) compliance with a legal obligation, and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and growing the business.
You may withdraw your consent at any time — see Section 9.
Data retention
We retain your waitlist email until (a) you ask us to delete it, or (b) two years after our public product launch, whichever is earlier. We may retain certain data longer where required by law (e.g., for tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted third-party processors. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work hard to protect your data.
If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Act.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data (right to be forgotten).
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity (DPDP Act).
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (Section 13). If unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
- For EU/UK users: the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@myoviq.com from the address you used to sign up. We will respond within the timelines required by law.
Children's data
Myoviq is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Under the DPDP Act, processing the personal data of a child requires verifiable parental or guardian consent — which we do not currently solicit and therefore do not process such data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
International transfers
Some of our processors (e.g., Netlify, Google) are located outside India. When we transfer your data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., standard contractual clauses, processor agreements) and that transfers comply with the DPDP Act and, where applicable, GDPR.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (where we have one) and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
